Az ICANN szabályai szerint a regisztrátorok kötelesek rendszeresen (évente egyszer) e-mailt küldeni, amely tartalmazza, milyen aktuális adatokkal van regisztrálva egy domain. Nem minden regisztrátor tartja be ezt egyformán szigorúan.
